Tanikawa Nami (谷川奈美)was born in Tokyo in 1977. She began her journey in handmade crafts in 2020, initially as a personal exploration of creativity in daily life. In 2022, she turned her focus to hand-painted glassware, transforming transparent cups and plates into whimsical canvases filled with playful stories.
Her works are characterized by bright colors, simple yet charming illustrations, and storytelling motifs—balloons, bears, flowers, cats, houses, and birds—that recall the warmth of picture books. They are not just functional tableware, but small vessels of happiness meant to bring a spark of joy to everyday life.
The name Hina Hiyo combines the names of her two beloved daughters, a tribute to the love and inspiration she draws from them. Through her creations, she seeks to preserve the tenderness of motherhood and share it with others. Each glass becomes a miniature universe, holding not only drinks but also the fleeting spark of childhood that lives within us all.
