Ashida Mellow lives and works in Shigaraki, one of Japan’s most historic ceramic towns. Surrounded by rich nature and centuries of pottery tradition, he draws inspiration from this environment to create both paintings and ceramics. His practice blends the sensitivity of brushwork with the texture of clay, forming a distinct artistic voice.
