Saasa Studio - 米屋沙麻里
Born in Odate City, Akita Prefecture in 1981, Samari Komeya trained under ceramic artists Terumasa Tamamoto in Okinawa and Tosei Haga in Akita before founding Saasa Studio in Shiwa Town, Iwate Prefecture, in 2016. Her creations are guided by the joyful concept of“seeing, using, and touching.”
Each piece is meant to bring delight — functional yet playful tableware that brightens everyday life and stands out with its charm in the cupboard. With a balance of artistry and warmth, Komeya’s works invite people to experience the gentle pleasure of handmade ceramics in daily moments.
